Do I need an existing prescription to join Cerebral?
No, you don’t need an existing prescription to join Cerebral.
Our licensed prescribers will meet with you to give you a professional evaluation to determine a diagnosis (if any) and if medication is clinically appropriate for you.
Does Cerebral offer support for veterans and active military personnel?
Yes. Our Cerebral Heroes program offers veterans, active military personnel, and their families 15% off our subscription costs.
Clients who have TRICARE, CHAMPUS, and CHAMPA insurance do not need a referral to pay for our services out of pocket. Cerebral is not in-network and does not participate with those plans or any government payer plans (See terms).
Is Cerebral available in my state?
We have therapists and medication prescribers licensed in every U.S. state, including Washington D.C.
Therapists and prescribers can only provide care to clients who are residents of states where they are licensed. Scheduling capacity and availability for individual therapists and medication prescribers may vary depending on location.
What should I do if I'm experiencing a crisis or emergency?
If you are having an emergency — call 911.
If you are feeling suicidal — call 988.
The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is available 24/7/365 from anywhere in the U.S.
If you are not in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis — but do have questions about your current medication or treatment — you can contact us.

Who is Cerebral for?
Cerebral is for anyone:
- Age 18 years or older
- Living in an area that we serve
- Not a beneficiary of Medicaid. (If you are a beneficiary of Medicare or certain other government-funded healthcare programs such as TRICARE and CHAMPUS, you may elect to pay for our services out-of-pocket. Terms and conditions vary by plan type.)
- Experiencing symptoms a mental health condition or who just wants to talk with someone
